Barton Academy's Hinds honored as state's Outstanding Teacher of American History

Marcee Hinds of Barton Academy for Advanced World Studies was honored recently as the Alabama NSDAR Outstanding Teacher of American History. She will be recognized in Auburn on March 1 at the Alabama Society for the DAR State Conference and she will be a nominee on the national level as well.

This is actually the second time that Hinds has been named the top history teacher in Alabama. In 2020, she has named the Gilder Lehrman Institute’s History Teacher of the Year for Alabama.
