This year’s State of the Economy will focus on uniting Mobile’s economy and workforce.

The keynote speaker is Alabama Department of Commerce Secretary Greg Canfield, who will give an update on Alabama’s economy with a focus on Mobile. He’ll also provide an update on The Game Plan and Accelerate Alabama 2.0.

The State of the Economy will also feature a workforce panel including:
Jo Bonner, President, University of South Alabama
Chresal D. Threadgill, Superintendent, Mobile County Public Schools
Olivier Charles, President, Bishop State Community College

Mobile Chamber President & CEO Bradley Byrne will present the results from the 2024 Mobile Area Economic Outlook Survey which asks Chamber members to offer a perspective on the region’s economic competitiveness and issues that will affect the business community in the coming year.

The Chamber will announce the 2023 award winners for Innovator of the Year and Manufacturer of the Year.
