JROTC and LOTC cadets from Mobile County Public Schools took part in the Veterans Day Parade in downtown Mobile on Friday. Several MCPSS marching units were honored at the Veterans Day Honors Luncheon at Fort Whiting: LeFlore Magnet, B.C. Rain and Williamson high schools, and Pillans, Calloway-Smith and Booker T. In the Veterans Day Essay Contest, Carter Davison of Tanner Williams Elementary placed second and Haley Young of Eichold-Mertz School of Math, Science & Technology placed third.

In addition, many schools (including J.E. Turner, pictured at right)
